It's the Beautiful Little Things ♥

We've been having extremely cold weather and even a little snow.
But we still make sure to enjoy each and every day.
We throw on a few more layers and head out.
To capture the beauty in each day.
To seek the meaningful in the mundane.
To find the extraordinary in the ordinary.
To appreciate the little things...
It's my theme, it's how we roll.

Most of our favorite little things live in the backyard...

And are such a delight.

They seem to enjoy our company as much as we enjoy theirs.

There is nothing quite like bringing in fresh eggs from your own backyard...

Or sharing a preschool project with your chickens...

Or playing in the mud with your pet pig...

Or enjoying snow days with your favorite chickens...

And your favorite sister.

We hope you and your family are having a blessed day and taking time to enjoy the simple, little, precious things...because they make life so much more interesting and beautiful.

  3. Your pictures are beautiful, but more than that - you are refreshing and inspiring. It's so easy to get stuck in the ordinary and mundane, but looking beyond it is worth the effort.

Thank you for sharing and being a light!

  4. I've been looking forward to your post all day and was excited to see you as I made my way through all of the linkups! Thank you so much for sharing with us and supporting our little project! Your photos are so beautiful and I for reals want some chickens now! We've been talking about it off and on for awhile but as the days go by, I'm just so ready to go back to more simple things...growing your own garden, having chickens, you name it! Your blog is a new favorite of mine and I always enjoy your instagram posts as well :-)

Focus on the little things...don't get so overwhelmed by the big things :) I love that you ladies created a place to focus and share that, so thank you!!! ~ And you should definitely get some chickens...and a garden!! We enjoy our time outside so much, and my girls just want to be a part of taking care of animals and growing things. It's just the best!! :)

  8. I'm so jealous, you have chickens AND a pig!! I've got to find someone with green eggs by me...I have done an egg-shell technique on metal with resin over it...and then sanded off, very labor intensive but oh so pretty! I did white eggs with a blue in the cracks....I can see brown with the green egg shell. Fabulous photos!
